Ever Since Mourinho's departure, Chelsea has improved- Mikel Obi

Following the departure of Chelsea's coach from the club, Jose Mourinho, Nigerian and Chelsea Midfielder, Mikel Obi has come foward to say the club has improved.

  

The 52 year old Portuguese was sacked on Thursday 17th December, 2015... just seven months after leading the English Team to a triumphant win at the English Premier League 2014/2015 season.

The reason for this is known to all and sundry as Chelsea have suffered terrible blows this season as they lost 9 of their 16 matches, ended up at 16th on the premier league table- just a spot above the relegation teams and they have been totally off-form this season. The last straw that broke the camel's back was when Chelsea conceded a 2-1 defeat against Leicester City.

In Mikel's words, He said, "It was a collective thing the players and the manager were not performing. Jose Mourinho led the blues to title glory last season but left the bridge with the club 16th on the league."

He added saying, "We have moved on from that and the atmosphere has changed since the change of manager."

Wondered how you'd feel if you got a call from a strange looking number asking, "Hello, is this Earth?"

Well, A woman got called from space by British Astronaut, Tim Peake. It  was actually a wrong call from space. He called and said the exact same thing posted above, "Hello, is this Earth?"

Realizing his mistake, he tweeted and apologized. His tweet read thus, 'I'd like to apollogise to the lady I just called by mistake saying 'Hello, is this planet Earth' - not a prank call...just a wrong number!

So, ma'am... Tim tenders his apology, it aint a prank... Its just a wrong phone call.

Hoverboards gone "boom"!!!

Hoverboards, also known as Self Balancing Scooters were one of the most talked about tech products in 2015. These little machines were seen virtually everywhere ranging from red carpets, to movie shows, and mostly on Instagram.


These machines later made the news on a bad note as they reported to either have caught fire or exploded.


Several countries have since labelled them Illegal while some banned them from being used on sidewalks and in public. Several airlines have banned them on flights and online shops like Amazon have taken them off their shelves.


A Federal Agency also claimed to be investigating the issue trying to figure out why these things are bursting into flames.

Reddit Users accused the forum of Censorship

Reddit Users have accused the platform of censorship. This accusation was brought about by the removal of subreddits which the forum claimed to have done because those subreddits were focused on hate speech and bullying.

The Former CEO, Ellen Pao said, 'We're banning behaviour, not ideas.' Reddit users also called for her resignation which she did.

The new CEO, Steve Huffman, defended the former CEO and promised to 'reconsider' some policies.

NNPC to reduce Petrol Pump price below 87 naira by January.

Dr. Ibe Kachikwu, The Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, while inspecting the Port Harcourt Refining Company, disclosed to newsmen on Thursday that on 1st January, 2016 , the Federal Government of Nigeria might reduce fuel pump price to 85 naira per litre.


Dr. Ibe, after been pressed to reveal the exact date this new development will take effect from, he said the Federal Government were looking at January 1st and as for the price, he said the template prepared by the Petroleum Product Pricing Regulation Agency revealed a price below 87 naira.


He said that this is to show Nigerians that the pricing modulation the Federal Goverment said it was going to embark upon was not a bluff as the modulation revealed a price below 87 naira and was falling between 86 and 87 naira.


He also added that he signed off the new price on Thursday and petrol marketers would soon get an advice to this note. Dr. Kachikwu also said that Federal Government cannot afford to subsidize anymore. They realized there were lots of fraud elements in the subsidy plan and have to totally cut it off.

Olamide "baddo" reveals why he may not sign a female artiste unto his label

In a recent interview with the Nigerian rapper and tthe YBNL boss by Hip TV, Olamide reveals why he might not be signing any female to his record label- YBNL.


As of now, YBNL is an 'all-boys club' featuring big names like Chinko Ekun, Adekunle Gold, Viktoh, Lil Kesh and some 'not so known artistes'


Speaking at the interview, he said categorically that any female that he would sign unto the label would have to possess the same kind of "hunger for success" he has.



This was to clarify that he didn't say point blank that he can't sign any female at all to YBNL but that she would have to 'have some balls' to do that...

FIFA bans Former FIFA president, Sepp Blatter and UEFA president, Michel Platini.

On Monday, 21st December 2015, a FIFA court banned former FIFA president of 17 years, Sepp Blatter and UEFA president Michel Platini for 8 years after finding them guilty of abusing the power of their positions over a payment supposedly made to the suspended head of European football.

The payment was said to be over 2 million US Dollars. Sepp and Michel were immediately banned from every football activity and they were required to pay a fine of 50,000 and 80,000 Swiss francs respectively.

Statements released by the court revealed 'abusive execution' of their powers. The court said, concerning Michel Platini that he 'failed to act with complete credibility and integrity, showing unawareness of the importance of his duties.'

The Mchub Blog will be releasing the very latest of news and happenings around the country on it's launch in the news section.
